Christmas in a nutshell!

I can't believe that Christmas has already come and gone!!! We had a WONDERFUL Christmas in Missouri with my family. We were there for a full week... which was such a vacation for me because my mom and sisters took care of Emma the WHOLE time! It was such a treat:)
Christmas Eve we went to my parent's church's candlelight service. We took Emma into the service with us... she did pretty good for the most part:) She was pretty quiet up until a solo during the candlelighting part.. towards the middle of the solo the man held a note very long and very high. Emma had been sitting on my lap reading a book and as soon as he started hitting that certain high and long note her head whipped up and her eyes got really wide...and then she started singing....and singing....and singing and singing:) She sang a high and long note just like him.... I tried "shushing" her... then I put in her binky...then I covered her mouth with my hand... all while she was singing this note:) It was so funny!!! It was Emma's first church solo:)
Christmas day was spent at my mom and dad's home. Emma was spoiled ROTTEN! One of her favorite toys was a dolly from us and her other favorite toy was a GIANT stuffed monkey from her Uncle Tim and Aunt Kaitlin:)
We have so much to be thankful for this Christmas... our sweet Emma...our other sweet baby... God is good! Most importantly we are thankful for the gift of Jesus Christ. I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Have a safe and Happy New Years!

Christmas Eve

Peeking at the presents! I let her touch all the presents under the tree before she went to bed on Christmas Eve:) (she wasn't allowed to touch ANY of them up until then!)

Opening her stocking on Christmas morning! Yay for My Little Ponies:)

The Past Week

As usual I'm behind on blogging! I feel as if we've been going and going and going the past 2 weeks and any down time I have I just want to sit and be still! :) So here's a couple of pictures and a video from this past week! Enjoy!

Do you see what I see? :)
Reading her Christmas book from Grandma

Waking up from her nap! Poor little girl had a red nose from being sick!

Our Christmas Tree!

This morning we went to the Christmas Tree farm about 30 minutes from our house! It was our 3rd year in a row to go! I do believe that 3 times officially makes it a family tradition! :) The tree farm is owned and run by a Grandma and Grandpa and their son and his family. It is the best place to visit during the holidays!
When you arrive you go inside the shop (which is a cute red building with rocking chairs out front) and can have free hot cider or coffee (they also sell baked goods, pecans from the farm and wreaths that they make on site). I had been craving a cup of cider for quite awhile and had been looking forward to it! When they handed me the cup it looked very clear with a hint of yellow... I took a sip and it tasted like it looked... like hot water with a dash of cinnamon. Bummer. Oh well..there's always next year!
You then load up on a hayride to be taken to where the Christmas trees are! We wanted a tall and skinny tree this year... our living room isn't very big so we wanted a tree that wouldn't take up alot of "playing" space. We ended up finding the perfect tree right off the bat! A beautiful 8 ft. tree! I love it!
I apologize in advance for the pictures. I had forgotten to charge my camera battery before we left so it was flashing low when we got there:( So all of the pictures were snapped quickly so as to save my battery! The one of the 3 of us is blurry for some reason?
Poor little Emma was such a good sport this morning. I took her to the dr. yesterday to get her flu shot and asked that they check her out while we were there. She's had a runny nose and cough for awhile now. Turns out the poor babe has a sinus infection and bronchitis:( So she's on 3 different kinds of medicine. Fortunatly the weather was beautiful this morning and she was bundled up nice and warm! I figure a little fresh air will do her pale little face good! :)
I'll post soon with our decorated tree pictures!
Have a great Sunday tomorrow!
