This morning we went to the Christmas Tree farm about 30 minutes from our house! It was our 3rd year in a row to go! I do believe that 3 times officially makes it a family tradition! :) The tree farm is owned and run by a Grandma and Grandpa and their son and his family. It is the best place to visit during the holidays!
When you arrive you go inside the shop (which is a cute red building with rocking chairs out front) and can have free hot cider or coffee (they also sell baked goods, pecans from the farm and wreaths that they make on site). I had been craving a cup of cider for quite awhile and had been looking forward to it! When they handed me the cup it looked very clear with a hint of yellow... I took a sip and it tasted like it looked... like hot water with a dash of cinnamon. Bummer. Oh well..there's always next year!
You then load up on a hayride to be taken to where the Christmas trees are! We wanted a tall and skinny tree this year... our living room isn't very big so we wanted a tree that wouldn't take up alot of "playing" space. We ended up finding the perfect tree right off the bat! A beautiful 8 ft. tree! I love it!
I apologize in advance for the pictures. I had forgotten to charge my camera battery before we left so it was flashing low when we got there:( So all of the pictures were snapped quickly so as to save my battery! The one of the 3 of us is blurry for some reason?
Poor little Emma was such a good sport this morning. I took her to the dr. yesterday to get her flu shot and asked that they check her out while we were there. She's had a runny nose and cough for awhile now. Turns out the poor babe has a sinus infection and bronchitis:( So she's on 3 different kinds of medicine. Fortunatly the weather was beautiful this morning and she was bundled up nice and warm! I figure a little fresh air will do her pale little face good! :)
I'll post soon with our decorated tree pictures!
Have a great Sunday tomorrow!
