Happy 50th Birthday PawPaw!!! :) We love you!

Today is my Dad's birthday! We're leaving bright and early tomorrow morning to spend the weekend with them in Missouri... I am SO excited!!! Here are a few pictures of Emma with her PawPaw! (If you'll notice...in the majority of them Emma is sleeping... my Dad is the only person who could make her fall asleep in his arms when she was little :) ... she loves her PawPaw!!)

Let the Summer Fun Begin!!!!

I know that summer isn't "officially" here for a couple more weeks... but it is OFFICIALLY summer at the Howry house! :) This past week the weather has been gorgeous! This past weekend we headed to the pool for the first time... the water was still pretty chilly but Emma didn't seem to mind! We've been going to the park as a family after Trav gets home to give Emma the opportunity to ruuuuuuuun and get some of her energy out before bedtime! It works like magic every time :) .
Last night we drove through Taco Casa and picked up a bag of 59 cent tacos... then headed to Sonic to pick up a Route 44 Dr. Pepper (I had a free coupon!!!) and then we headed to the park for a cheap picnic supper. We had the BEST time as a family! We walked to the top of a grassy hill and put down a quilt... Trav and I were able to visit and enjoy our supper while Emma ran around chasing the "burbs" :) It was the best evening!!!
Here are a few pics from our recent trips to the park, pool and a few other places!

Today we met Amanda and Ella at the spray park... SO MUCH FUN! Ella and Emma ran around the entire time! The only time I was able to snap a picture of Emma was when she took a break to eat a cookie... then she was off again! Thanks for letting us make your quilt filthy Amanda:) You're a true friend! ha!

At the pool with Daddy :)

One evening after the park we went to Culvers for some frozen custard... don't let her sad face fool you... she loved every minute of it!! She was just sulking because it was all gone :)
Enjoying the park!

Social Queen

IT'S FRIDAY!!!! :) I took the girls to the park after lunch today for a little bit of sunshine and water fun! Our park has a little water fountain area for kids to play in. Last year Emma was to small to use it by herself... but this summer it's perfect! Emma LOVED running around with all of the other "big" kids. There was one little group of boys in particular that she took a fancy to:) They on the other hand didn't care for her and would run away yelling every time she would join their group! Ha! Macey wasn't the biggest fan of the whole thing... she preferred relaxing in the shade of the stroller with a cup of milk :) Here are a few pics from our afternoon
At one point I took Macey out of the stroller to see if she might want to run around with Emma. Emma kept grabbing her hand and trying to pull her along to go and play:) As you can tell by poor Macey's face she wanted nothing to do with it!

She has spotted her target.....

"Hey boys! I think I'll sit down and chat with you!"

As soon as she sat down the boys jumped up and ran away yelling:)

In other news... I won some tickets this morning for a Thomas the Train Live Show in Dallas for in a couple of weeks! I am so excited to take Emma!
Our weekend looks pretty uneventful which is just how I like it! I have a few projects I want to get done in the babe's room... we'll see if I'm motivated enough! Have a great weekend everyone!

Mothers Day!

I had the BEST Mothers Day!!! It started on Friday with him surprising me with a dozen roses... he's so sweet! Then on Saturday evening Emma and Trav took me out to a delicious Mexican restaurant that several friends have recommended... soooo delicious! They had free icecream and sopapillas for dessert... my kind of place! On Mother's Day (the official day:) ) we went to Sunday School and church. My only request was that we have a sandwich for lunch so that we could all lay down for naps early. And that's just what we did! Trav woke up with Emma and I slept for 3 hours... it was heavenly :) Mother's Day evening we headed to the in-laws for a delicious lasagna supper. It was SUCH a wonderful day... I'd have to say that my favorite part was the 3 hour nap!
We tried before and after church to get a good picture of Emma and me to document Mother's Day. As you can tell by her face in both pictures she wanted nothing to do with it:) Also...the bottom picture is for my mom. It has us in it but the main reason I posted it is so that Mom can see what our porch looks like (Trav and some friends ripped out all the old wood and put new down). It's still in the makeover process... but it is looking MUCH better! Our goal in the next couple of weeks is to put up a railing all around the porch, paint the lattice and stairs white, pull out all of the dead azaela bushes and plant new landscaping and I think that's it! So much to do so little time it feels like!
Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Birthday Party!

This past Saturday we went and celebrated Camdyn's first birthday with her! Taren did such a great job with the party! Everything was so pretty AND delicious:) As usual it was so fun watching the babe's play!
I spent the rest of the weekend working on organizing closets! We switched rooms with Emma about a month ago and I just haven't had the energy to tackle the closets. Until this weekend:) So.. I switched Trav's clothes/stuff to our room and now the kiddos have the closet in their room! I have no idea how in the world we have accumulated so much STUFF! By the time both closets were organized I had 3 bags FULL of clothes and junk that will be making it's way to the second-hand store! I must say it feels so much better being able to check that off my list before Colt arrives.
Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone:)

*Emma and the sweet birthday girl! Camdyn's birthday dress and matching shoes were so sweet!
*Taren brought out the bubble machine with the babies loved:)
*I took these before the party... in the bottome picture she is making her sassy attitude face... she makes this face when I tell her "no"... *sigh*... up go the little eyebrows (Trav has told me that I make this face when I tell her no:) ha! )
