Here's to you Mom, Melissa and Angie:)

Alright ladies... after much questioning and prodding I am FINALLY updating my blog! I have been out of the blogging groove for a couple of weeks... shame shame! Little Colt in my belly has been making me extremely tired the past few weeks and once 7pm hits (my usual blogging time) I'm ready to take a bath and head to bed!
During my blogging vacay we actually went on vacay to Missouri during Spring Break to visit my family! I promise I'll post pics from that here in a day or two!
Besides Spring Break the last few weeks have revolved around the big "To-Do" list! I have a humongous list of To-Dos that need to be finished by the time Colt arrives. So...that's what our weekends have consisted of!

This was from our walk this afternoon... I am LOVING this beautiful weather!



The other night Trav had a track meet so Emma and I went out for a "Girls Night" to Target! The above picture is of us before we left. We shared a cherry slurpee and soft pretzel WITH cheese at the snack bar! Emma loved the slurpee and had a great time dipping her pieces of pretzel in cheese:) big girl!
We have an evening routine at our house where I give Emma her bath and Trav goes outside to feed and take care of Roland (our dog). One of Emma's favorite things to do after her bath is stand by her bedroom window and watch Roland out in the yard:) She has a real love/hate relationship with him... she loves him if she's inside looking at him... but hates him if he's anywhere near her outside! :)
This picture cracks me up! She was being a real ham in the tub the other night... if you can't tell!


Below are pics of Emma in her "Book Nook." :) I had a piece of furniture that I kept meaning to add a shelf to to make it into a bookshelf on the lower level but never got around to it before Emma found it! She would always make her way into our bedroom (where I kept it) to go and sit in the bottom of this piece of furniture...and she would always bring a book with her! :) Sooo this gave me the bright idea to move it into her room and to create it into her own little "Book Nook." It's still a work in progress...I need to do a little crafting and painting in the area where she sits... but I have made a special little pillow for her to sit on while she's reading! What you're seeing are the before pics of Emma in the "Book Nook" ... I'll post after pics once I've compeleted it! (just one more thing to do on the "To-Do" list!!!)

Walking!!!

I do believe she's got it!!! After months and months of waiting and trying... our sweet girl has finally figured out walking! She still would much rather prefer crawling... but at least she's giving walking a chance! :) Here are a few videos from the other day when she was getting the hang of it!

One of Em's new things is to imitate people when they are chewing gum:) Please ignore the fact that I'm busy chomping on my own piece of gum throughout the whole video... annnoyyyying! ha!

Keepin' it Real :)

Once again we've been under the weather here at the Howry house! Emma has had a fever/cold for the past week and is finally on the mend! I can't say it enough... I CAN'T WAIT FOR SUMMER! :) We've been staying home alot so that Em can start to feel better... which explains the following pictures. The first is what she looks like on a normal, healthy day... cute t-shirt with a matching bow :) Now... I debated whether or not to post the following picture! Let me explain several things before you take a peek.
#1-She has no shirt on because this was one of the fever days and I was trying to keep her cool
#2-She found a camoflauge hat (Colt's new hat from his Nan and Pop) in a basket and kept trying to put it on her head... so I helped her out and she wore it for several hours! She would keep patting her head to make sure it was still there...little stinker!
#3-Speaking of little stinker... right as I snapped the picture of her she squated down to look at something on the ground...and as she did I noticed a little surprise in the back of her diaper :)

If anything I hope you got a good laugh out of my little girl who looks like a boy with poop in her pants:) Happy Tuesday!

We're having a.....

We are SO excited that Emma will have a little brother! And I do believe we've decided on a name... Colt Hamilton (that's Trav's middle name...and his dad's and his grandpa's...). The sonographer said that he looks perfect and is VERY big and long for his age! She has him measuring a week ahead of schedule! Have a great Monday everyone!
