Fall is Here!!

Well yesterday was OFFICIALLY the first day of fall! I had planned on posting yesterday but my camera wouldn't cooperate and download my fall pics... so I am celebrating the first day of fall today on our blog! I am really excited about fall and winter this year because we have Emma! I'm excited to introduce her to all of the wonderful things that have to do with fall! Cooler weather, sweatshirts, the colors of the leaves, fall decorations, Chili, pumpkins, hot cocoa and of course lots and lots of football games!
Last night Trav coached his 8th grade team and they won again! So far they're 3 and 0!!! Way to go Coach Howry! Emma as usual was a great cheerleader:) she didn't fuss and kept herself entertained on her quilt for almost the entire game.
Happy Fall everyone!

Saturday:)

Today was such a great Saturday! Tricia and Hank called bright and early and asked if we wanted to go out for breakfast with them and to the zoo! Anyone that would pass that kind of day up would be crazy! :) We went out for breakfast at IHOP...my favorite! Then we headed off to the zoo... Emma's first time! She is still pretty little so she didn't really know what we were doing. I'm pretty sure she was more interested in the people around us than the animals:) She did however love the otters...when Trav pushed her up next to the glass she started waving to them... it was too cute! That was pretty much the only animal that she found interest in. Even though only one animal caught Emma's attention...Emma caught one animal's attention! The gorilla!!!:) We brought Emma to the gorilla exhibit and Trav sat her next to the glass where the gorilla had his back to her. The gorilla saw Emma out of the corner of his eye and turned and put his face right next to her... it was the perfect photo! Luckily she had her back to him... I don't think she would have cared for him. For those of you who don't know we sometimes call Emma our "Vanilla Gorilla" because she has such white hair and looks like a little monke:) So we laughed and said the gorilla must have known that she was a Vanilla Gorilla. We stayed at the zoo until around noon and then we came home and took long afternoon naps! It was such an enjoyable day! Have a great day of rest tomorrow!!!

Wildcat Football!!

Tuesday night Emma and I went to Trav's first home game...go Williams Wildcats (jr. high team)! They won against Curtis-Allen 32 to 16! Tricia (Trav's mom) met us at the game and we had such a great time! The weather was perfect football weather...cool and crisp! Emma did such a good job as usual! Towards the end of the game she began to get a little fussy but thankfully Tricia was wearing a great necklace that kept her occupied the rest of the game!

I've just been loving the weather lately! We've had the windows open for the last 3 days...it's beginning to smell and feel like fall! And you know what that means...after fall comes Christmas! My favorite holiday! Woohoo! :) :) :)

Some of you know that I've also been working on making and selling hairbows...I've created a blog to show the different bows that I've made in the past couple of weeks. The address is:
sprinklesbowtique.blogspot.com. Check it out!

I'm trying to type this entry as fast as I can...Emma and Macey (the sweet baby I watch!) are napping and at any minute one of them could wake up! haha they're like little time bombs!

Have a great Thursday!

Hurricane Ike and Sunday at the park

We had such a wonderful weekend! The remnants of Hurricane Ike came through yesterday... for us it turned out to be a nice little thunderstorm all day! We went out for breakfast as a family and then came home for the rest of the day! It was such a treat...all three of us took a 3 hour Saturday afternoon rainy day nap. It was heavenly! One of the pictures below is of Emma outside with Daddy in Hurrican Ike:) haha! She wasn't to fond of the rain as you can tell from the picture...she looks slightly worried!

Today was another wonderful day to finish off our weekend. We went to Sunday School and church this morning and then out for lunch with Hank and Tricia. After lunch Travis and Hank went to the lake to get in some fishing. Emma and I came home and after her nap I decided that her and I would take advantage of the beautiful day and head to the park! For those of you who don't know our park is sooooo wonderful! There is a pond and lots of trees and rolling grassy hills. We walked around part of the pond and then sat under a tree on our blanket and enjoyed the afternoon. I brought my camera with me and took a couple of pictures of Emma (a couple as in around 100!ha!). The sky was incredibly blue with tiny puffy white clouds and the grass was green as can be and my baby was as beautiful as ever! I love the pictures I took because everything in them is a reminder of the perfection that God creates! Isn't He amazing?

Psalm 19:1, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands."

Have a great Monday everyone!

Prayer Request-Baby Stellan

I came across this blog through a friend of a friends' blog. This woman is around 33 weeks pregnant with her fourth child..a little boy named Stellan. The following is from her blog.. she's talking about baby Stellan

He was diagnosed with heart failure: Premature Atrial Contraction at 20 weeks, and Supraventricular Tachycardia, mild hydrops, and intermittent advanced secondary heart block at 23 weeks. We were told at 24 weeks that he would surely die. God performed a miracle and Stellan is still with us! The doctors are now giving him a 50/50 chance of survival outside of my womb.

Their family blog is www.mycharmingkids.net

This mom has really been on my heart since I read her story... let's keep her and her family in our prayers!

Friday Night...

Well... we lost the game unfortunatly... however the good news is that this wasn't a district game... which means it didn't really count. In other news... Emma did another outstanding job at the game! She sat on my lap and also in her car-carrier (which I brought into the stands with us)throughout the entire game. She finally fell asleep about 5 minutes before the game ended which was around 10pm. 3 hours past her bedtime! I've attached a couple of pictures from this evening! Have a great Saturday!

Friday!

Yay for Friday's!!! Tonight Emma and I are going to the highschool football game to cheer on Rockwall and Trav! Emma went to her first football game last week and did SUCH a great job! I was afraid that she would be fussy since the game started around her bedtime. She didn't cry or fuss even once... just sat on my lap the entire game! She loves to look at and be around other people so it kept her entertained the whole time! I've attached a picture of us at the game... as you can see she is quite interested in the people around us:) Hope everyone has a great weekend!
