Our Christmas Tree!

This morning we went to the Christmas Tree farm about 30 minutes from our house! It was our 3rd year in a row to go! I do believe that 3 times officially makes it a family tradition! :) The tree farm is owned and run by a Grandma and Grandpa and their son and his family. It is the best place to visit during the holidays!
When you arrive you go inside the shop (which is a cute red building with rocking chairs out front) and can have free hot cider or coffee (they also sell baked goods, pecans from the farm and wreaths that they make on site). I had been craving a cup of cider for quite awhile and had been looking forward to it! When they handed me the cup it looked very clear with a hint of yellow... I took a sip and it tasted like it looked... like hot water with a dash of cinnamon. Bummer. Oh well..there's always next year!
You then load up on a hayride to be taken to where the Christmas trees are! We wanted a tall and skinny tree this year... our living room isn't very big so we wanted a tree that wouldn't take up alot of "playing" space. We ended up finding the perfect tree right off the bat! A beautiful 8 ft. tree! I love it!
I apologize in advance for the pictures. I had forgotten to charge my camera battery before we left so it was flashing low when we got there:( So all of the pictures were snapped quickly so as to save my battery! The one of the 3 of us is blurry for some reason?
Poor little Emma was such a good sport this morning. I took her to the dr. yesterday to get her flu shot and asked that they check her out while we were there. She's had a runny nose and cough for awhile now. Turns out the poor babe has a sinus infection and bronchitis:( So she's on 3 different kinds of medicine. Fortunatly the weather was beautiful this morning and she was bundled up nice and warm! I figure a little fresh air will do her pale little face good! :)
I'll post soon with our decorated tree pictures!
Have a great Sunday tomorrow!

Booty Kisser

Emma has been big on giving kisses lately... Here's a couple videos I took.... please ignore my voice...I sound very annoying:) The first video is the funniest:)

Elephants, Kisses and Christmas!

We're slowly getting into the Christmas spirit over here! Even though I've been listening to Christmas music since the beginning of November I just now started decorating! We're going to get our tree tomorrow!
Just in the past week Emma has been doing SO many new things... here are a few...
*She says "momma or mom" constantly! The other morning when I went to get her out of her crib she looked up at me and said "Mom!" It was the cutest and funniest thing!
*She can FINALLY pull to standing up! Our little giraffe's legs were so long and skinny that she had a hard time holding up her body:) Bless her heart!
*And last but not least she makes a great elephant call! :) Enjoy the video below! Watch her lips at the beginning... you can tell she's thinking about doing it!

Thanksgiving!

We're back!!! We had SUCH a great Thanksgiving this year! We have so much to be thankful for this year!!! We went to Missouri to celebrate with my family. My grandparents also came to Missouri from Colorado...it was such a treat to see them!
Follow along with the pictures below!

The night before we left... Emma was eating lasagna and lost a piece on her forehead:) haha
At Grandma and Grandpa's Emma petted her first kitty! She's not much of an animal person... she hates dogs, cats and fur coats:) (seriously..they scare her!)

Happy Thanksgiving outfit! Doesn't her outfit just scream "party?!"

Happy to be with her family:)

Playing before Thanksgiving dinner

She enjoyed all of the Thanksgiving food! I put a little of everything on her tray and she tried everything! :)

The day after Thanksgiving my parent's town has a Christmas celebration downtown. Most of the stores are open and have scenes in the windows...and vendors are set up and down the street...there's Santa and music... hay rides and FREE hot cocoa:) We've sort of made it a Thanksgiving tradition to go! This pic is of Emma before we left!

At the Festival of Christmas

Pretty Pretty Princess!

Our baby girl is getting so big!!! I can hardly believe that she's almost 10 months! After looking at pictures from this past weekend and today it makes me realize how fast she's growing and how big she's looking:) Our baby girl is slowly turning into a little girl! Here's a few pictures from today...she's wearing her new necklace shirt that her Nana bought her this weekend. I thought it was quite appropriate being that Emma's favorite thing to play with are strands of beads and necklaces! She's such a pretty princess:)

Fauxhawks, Cousins and Shopping!

This weekend Emma and I went with Emma's Nana to visit her cousins in Austin! We spent the day on Saturday shopping at the outlet mall in San Marcos...LOVE IT!!! We had such a great time! We found some great bargains including Emma's Christmas skirt which is precious! You'll just have to wait until Christmas to see it! Below are some of the pics from the weekend:) Happy Monday!

The other morning Emma woke up from her nap with an awesome Fauxhawk:)

Emma and her cousins!

Twins!

Shopping on Saturday.... we were waiting on a bench for Nana to come out of a store.

The most precious child I have EVER seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I am always trying to get a good picture of Emma smiling and usually snap a thousand and get ONE good picture out of the bunch. This picture is from last week when we were driving home from Wal-Mart... Emma was giggling in the back seat about something and Trav asked if I had my camera... so I handed it to him...he then reached his hand backwards (WHILE driving), snaps a picture (WITHOUT looking) and this was the result. Ridiculous isn't it:)

Our week.... :)

What a great week we've had! It's pretty late so I'm going to try to just recap everything in a little nutshell! So here we go:)

Tonight was the last football game of the season! Hard to believe it's already over...yet at the same time seems like it's been a LONG time! Emma did a great job at the game tonight! She was warm as toast with her new coat, hat and mittens:)

Throughout the week I usually pack Trav a lunch and send it with him to work... but starting last week I'll pack up Emma and Macey and we'll bring Trav's lunch to him! It is such a treat to see him in the middle of the day! We brought it a couple times last week and 2 times this week! Emma LOVES seeing her Daddy! She sits in his lap after he finishes his lunch and Trav always opens up the mirror for her to look at herself. She's such a vain little thing that she won't pay any attention to him while the mirror is open... she'll just look at herself and talk and sing:)

Speaking of singing... our little girl is QUITE the songbird!!! Around two this morning she woke up crying and when I went in to check on her I discovered her room was like an icebox! We have had the heater off for the past week because the weather has been so beautiful. Well last night the temperature dropped and it didn't help that I had left her window cracked to freshen up her room (it smelled like a diaper in there :) ).... so she was sitting up in the middle of her bed crying with her eyes closed. :( So I took her back to bed with me to warm her up. I put her in between Trav and I and we all went right back to sleep. WELL around 5 this morning Trav and I wake up to Emma sitting straight up in bed singing:) and not only was she singing but this is how her song went (imagine this in a high pitched baby singing voice)... "daddddyyyy dadddyyyy daaaadddddyyyy dadda daddyyy" this went on for a good 5 minutes! It was the most precious thing I've ever heard hahaha:) then she layed back down and went to sleep:) so sweet!

Another exciting thing at our house is that Emma can feed herself with her bottle now! She's gotten the hang of holding her own bottle... kind of makes me sad!

I'm really looking forward to our weekend! We don't have alot planned which is why I'm looking forward to it so much! The only things we have planned are church and Trav is going duck hunting and that is IT! :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

*On our way to the football game! And no, she doesn't have lipstick on :)...her lips are just a little chapped plus the fact that they're always this pink! *

*Sleeping Beauty at the game*
*Emma and me after the game...she looks a little startled because she just woke up:) *

*Trav and Emma... we won by the way*

*Our little prissy peacock looking at herself in the mirror*

*Singing to Macey... look at Emma's face...this is what she looks like when she sings:) Macey is such a good friend to listen so intently! Ha!

*Big girl drinking ALL by herself!*

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND! :)
