Thankful

I took the kids to the park this morning. The weather was perfect... sunny with a little breeze. As we walked around the pond I was just overcome with the feeling of thankfulness. Thankful that I am able to stay home with my babies. Thankful that I have a husband who supports this decision. It's not always easy... there are days when I would love to get dressed up and have somewhere to be. Days where I would love adult interaction. Days where I wish someone would let me know they appreciated me helping them (although Emma has turned into the politeness queen...she actually thanked me for changing her diaper the other day...makes me laugh to think about it). But then I remind myself that I can have those days later. Later on when my kids are grown. For this season of my life I GET to stay home to raise and enjoy my children. And for that I am thankful!

And of course a post must have pics!

Emmy enjoying the sunshine!

Cuddling on mommy's bed:)
The next couple pictures make me smile... :) her little pony tail and chipmunk teeth are almost too cute to handle!

speaking of chipmunks...here's a chubby one named Colty!

I'm thankful that you've made this commitment and won't miss a minute of the time you have with these precious souls. After 26 years of full time "mom-ness", believe me when I say that you won't be sorry!!!
love you! mom

I loved reading this post. Even after a crazy day at home with the kids, you reminded me to be thankful that I am home and not missing a minute of it. Love the new pictures too! I need to add you to my blog list.

LOVE this post! I cannot agree with you more about this special season in our lives. Thank you for reminding me to be thankful for the precious time that I GET to spend with Ella (and soon Emerson), and to not take that for granted! We are truly blessed to have husbands that support us as well. You are so right about having plenty of days to work later...I wouldn't miss this time for the world! :)

So cute! I do love Emma's little pony tail :) And Colt is getting so big!

I agree-how thankful I am that I am able to stay home! Sometimes it doens't seem like it, but what a luxury that a lot of people don't have.
